[new] Neil Frances, Drama – “Energy” (122bpm Emin)
Add Neil Frances to the list of bands like Jethro Tull, Pablo Cruise, Molly Hatchet, Steely Dan, Pink Floyd, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Alice Cooper, Franz Ferdinand, Manfred Mann, Uriah Heep, Hootie & the Blowfish, Derek & The Dominos, Tommy Tutone, Veruca Salt, etc. Some people think the name refers to a person. But in like the others on the list, it doesn’t. Those aren’t people; they’re bands. In this case it’s Australian-born Jordan Feller and Southern California native Marc Gilfry. They’ve been coming out with some good stuff lately including this track. Drama’s rap at the beginning is annoying; could have done without that. But the rest of the record is great. The music video is rubbish. Oh well.
[new] Camelphat, Ali Love – “Compute” (122bpm Cmin)
[new] Zara Larsson, David Guetta – “On My Love” (123bpm A♯min)
[new] Icona Pop – “Fall In Love” (124bpm Cmaj)
[new] Anyma, Cassian, Poppy Baskcomb – “Save Me” (126bpm G♯min)
[new] MEDUZA, Poppy Baskcomb – “Upside Down (Feat. Poppy Baskcomb)” (128bpm A♯min / A♯maj)
[new] Armin van Buuren, Punctual, Alika – “On & On” (128bpm Gmin)
[new] Anyma, Chris Avantgarde – “Eternity” (125bpm C♯min)
[new] Zara Larsson – “Can’t Tame Her” (182bpm F♯min)
Zara Larsson is a complete headcase, but I’ll enjoy her zippy pop-tune in spite of this. This one definitely has some similarities to The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights.”
